Two tropical cyclones occurred in the central North Pacific during the official 2024 hurricane season, which is below the long-term annual average. Hurricane Hone developed into a tropical cyclone (TC) in the central Pacific basin, representing the first TC to do so since Tropical Storm Ema in 2019.
