Office of Emergency Management (ACOEM) - For their support of the concept, and for letting us know about the existence of the equipment offer from FDEM, and for putting us in contact with the right people. o Alachua Co. Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (AC-RACES) - For providing manpower and support of the project concept. o Alachua Co. SKYWARN - For providing manpower and support of the project concept. o Fla. Miller Health Science Center, Univ. of Fla. - For providing a rooftop location for the satellite dish and the transmitting antenna. Without that access to the rooftop, this project would not exist. o Shands Communications - Thanks to Scott Preston for providing a free service by which to use the donated EMWIN pagers (Motorola Advisors) - with which we were able to test EMWIN paging capabilities and provide the latest weather bulletins to certain local public service volunteers. o Shannon Boal/KG4NGY - For supplying the concrete blocks necessary to hold down the satellite dish; and help in assembling and putting up the transmitting antenna and satellite receiver dish, and for aiding in the assembly and installation of the transmit antenna. o Jim Carr/KC4MHH - Cat5 cabling, connectors, crimping, creating a cable for me that connected the EMWIN computer to the EMWIN transmitter. o Joseph DiPietro/N2UF, RF Engineers - For his technical assistance and expertise, and for donating so much of his own time, equipment, and resources to the project; for aiding in the assembly and installation of the transmit antenna, and in the installation of the satellite receiving dish, and helping to route the coax. o John Fleming/WD4FFX, Technical Services, Fla.
