A front stalls across the area which sets the stage for spotty showers on Friday and Saturday, mainly northwest of the FL Big Bend, with temperatures above normal for a change. Weak transport winds on Friday gradually become northwest, becoming stronger on Saturday as they clock around to the east, with general low mixing heights and sometimes thick cloud cover both days promoting fair to poor dispersion both afternoons. As low pressure approaches, widespread wetting rains are expected on Sunday and Sunday night. Southerly winds will increase in advance of the front on Sunday, becoming strong and gusty, followed by another round of gusty northwesterly winds late Sunday night into Monday. Also, strong thunderstorms Sunday and Sunday evening may lead to erratic winds. Following the front, very cold and dry weather early next week.
