Rain chances will remain well above normal today as a line of
showers ahead of an approaching cold front. The window of
opportunity for these showers will be during the afternoon and
early evening, but thunderstorms are not expected with this
activity. Light to gentle northwesterly transport winds in the
morning will veer northerly and freshen dramatically by tonight,
and strong northerly winds will continue through Sunday morning
before having the opportunity to taper off. RH values are not
necessarily a concern ahead of the front, but significantly dry
air behind the front will filter in on Sunday, and will bring
minimum RH value down to near 50%.
