Strong high pressure is located near the Azores with the western
side of this ridge extending southwestward into the Southeast
U.S., Florida, and the eastern Gulf. This will continue to promote
moderate to fresh easterly breezes through the rest of the week.
Moisture undulations around the high will result in episodic
showers through Thursday. Some periods may be wetter than others.
Min RH values will be in the upper 60s percent today and in the
mid 60s percent Thursday with good RH recovery into the upper 80s
percent overnight. Moderate drought conditions will persist for
the entire island chain. Even though showers are in the forecast
over the next several days, it is not expected to be nearly enough
to dent the drought conditions.
