FNUS21 KWNS 230738 FWDDY1 Day 1 Fire Weather Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 0137 AM CST Sat Nov 23 2019 Valid 231200Z - 241200Z ...NO CRITICAL AREAS... ...Synopsis... A cut-off low will continue to spin off Baja California as upper-level northwest flow overspreads the western CONUS today. This will result in northerly-easterly flow above the surface in the low levels across California. With surface high pressure in the Great Basin, offshore winds will develop across portions of coastal California, especially southern California. Locally elevated meteorological conditions may develop across southwest California this afternoon into overnight. Gusty east-northeast winds of 20-40 mph and minimum RH values of 15-30% are expected. However, cooler temperatures/higher RH and recent precipitation will dampen fire weather conditions. Additionally, latest fire-danger guidance indicates ERCs have dropped to near/below normal in southern California. ..Nauslar.. 11/23/2019 ...Please see www.spc.noaa.gov/fire for graphic product... $$
