PEOPLE:
- (BRATT) ST. AMANT, Sue. Louisiana - For scans relating to Judge
James Bratt and his wife Annie Powell SMITH - who was Lydia Smallwood (SMITH)
TOLMIE's sister; and for help with obtaining same from her father and other
relatives she knew.
- BURTON, Dave. - Ontario, Canada. Happened to be taking a trip
to the U.K. and the St. Andrews Parish Church in Bebington, one day, and
took time to stop and take photographs of the gravesite there, and to
research the Church's records for some of our SMITH and related ancestors
buried there, and then sent it all to me in the mail. Before him, I had
some real doubts about Canadians being human; and then he came along and
made me think twice about that. (grin) And he did it all for free.
- (GREGORY) STERNER, Muriel Elaine. - Leesburg, Fla. My
grandmother. Died July 18th, 2001, ten days after her cousin Vera. It is
because of her (and her ancestors') "pack-rat" mentality that we are eble to
enjoy most of the historical items seen herein and dealing with our DISBROW,
GREGORY, STERNER and TOLMIE lines, and more.
- SHERMAN, Henry Allaire, Jr. - Howell, NJ. My dad. Offered scans
of ancestors and relatives and information on the SHERMAN line.
- (STERNER) McINTOSH, Deirdre Irene. - A long lost Sterner cousin
who found our web pages on the Internet, and for scans that she had relating
to Jay W. Sterner and the STERNER family.
- STERNER, Jay Willard. - Ocean Grove, NJ. My grandfather. Died
April 12, 1972. Long ago past. However, his books - THE DISBROWS, THE
STERNERS, THE RIVER, and ARGENTINE INTERLUDE Vols. 1 & 2 helped peak my
interest in genealogy - along with my father's own pushings for me to do
same. He loved writing and taking photographs. Many of his photographs,
and photographs of photographs and drawings and things, are all that we have
of our DISBROW and STERNER past. Without them, we would not have what we
have.
- (TOLMIE) MOORE, Edith Vera. - Hackensack, NJ. Died July 8th,
2001. Muriel E. (Gregory) Sterner's cousin and best friend, for photocopies
of some things that she had relating to our TOLMIE line.
